This is achieved via a Top-Down Investment Process that begins with the analysis of the overall market and investment cycles prevailing. From there, call conviction at all levels is determined in order for maximum information transfer into the portfolio.

  • Our bond portfolios are positioned for low risk and high returns via the same risk diversification strategy that requires taking calculated risk at all value adding portfolio nodes which include, relative duration, curve positioning and instrument selection. Where conviction is high, convexity is also employed for added value. Corporate paper is limited, for risk limitation purposes.

CASH

  • Our cash portfolios are focused on holding the best value in all areas of the curve whilst balancing short-term holdings with re-investment risks and, long-term holdings with credit risk. The liquidity level of these portfolios is determined by the client cashflow needs where communicated, otherwise 5% of portfolio is held near-term instruments/facilities at all times for unexpected cashflow requirements from our clients

STRUCTURED PRODUCTS

  • Structured Products are an elegant way of achieving near equity returns, but via a low volatility or risk positioning that is achieved via funded (fully or partly) protection strategies. To the extend that portfolio drawdown is limited by these derivative structures, market recovery participation is always from a higher position than the market and the higher performance at low risk. All derivative instruments utilised are listed, for further risk limitation for our clients.
